Pay for a booklet with all the details at the info centre and do a self walk tour. We did find it worth our while. Some buildings are in a very good state of repair, while others needs urgent attention, but interesting facts on all....More

Its a steep walk so please make sure you have time or that you are fit. The signage could be better. Its an ok way to pass sometime but I personally would not go out your way to see it.

I would not recommend this tour to anyone and can only echo the other review that this tour only serves to show how run-down PE is. As if the description of the history of PE contained within the booklet is sparse and boring enough anyway...More

Its a nice part of town to walk around - and also for photo enthusiasts. Make sure you are prepared for a change in weather because the wind can change into rain! good walking shoes or trainers recommended

We had a friend who gave us a tour, but without her I think we would have missed many of the details. Perhaps put up some information signs?

A very useful booklet outlines the route of the Heritage Trail - the visitor will discover that you can start or finish anywhere along the route. We parked at Belmont Terrace which is pretty central and walked some of the trail, following the blue lines...More

The trail is a walk into the history of Port Elizabeth. Old historic buildings, interesting insight into the past and a possibility to compare with the new as well. The trail needs better marking through. More posters and notices would also help.

We arrived in early evening and parked by the Edward Hotel. We did not walk the entire trail, but spent about an hour walking around the precinct of the pyramid and lighthouse. I am glad to see Central is in a better condition now than...More
