A sad poorly maintained and poorly organised collection could be so much more. The curating of the displays needs help in order for there to be continuity. Looks like it hasn't been updated or maintained since the nineties.

The museum has a large collection of tanks and guns, as well as some aircraft and naval exhibits. The items are beautifully restored, and I saw many unique weapons, including the only surviving Me-262 night fighter. If you're a 20th Century military buff, this is...More

I was not sure what to expect from the Museum, having driven many a time past it. What a surprise. Well kept, with an array of armoured vehicles, guns and personnel-related items on display. Some aircraft (some unique ones), and the odd naval gun (suppose...More

Very nice museum. It is not huge but exposition is very good organized. There is few unique pieces. For me it were ME262, German one man submarine and Blackburn Buccaneer. All military fans must visit.

This is one of the most elaborate museum with world war 1 and 2 marvels. A must visit for families and kids. The display is extremely creative, the structure immaculate and with the best management.

Unexpected find in the middle of Johanesburg - I was impressed with both the range exposition and authentic pieces of WW2 era. I've been to a number of WW2 around the world but it was the only place that had an impressive collection of Germany's...More

Absolutely. There is a small coffee shop that can do toasted sarmies and ice creams there. Also a collectibles shop if you are looking for that special momento.
