Although it might seem disappointing compared to other attractions alike - I'd still recommend you to go and have the experience. There's nothing at the top (except the odd vending machine) so take a snack or something ;) The views are great and you get...More

This place has a lot of potencial, but it's a waste. We went to see the sunset, and we did have a 360 view, but the there is literally nothing else on that floor, all the window glasses are incredibly dirty, and the few furniture...More

Goid for the view over Johannesburg. Top of Africa is one stop of the Johannesburg hop on hop off bus. There is no restaurant or shop up there. Cater for entrance fee.

Top of Africa has spectacular views of the city. I went to the top with my sister. We had an amazing time and found the information on the walls interesting. Getting through town wasn't too bad and the parking lot was easy to find.

One is strongly advised not to view the Carlton Centre without a guide. This is not a safe place for tourists to wander around escorted..

Went on a Friday where there were no shops open and the sad thing was the way to the TOA is really sketchy, maybe because of the lights since they were so dim. I forgot the price for adults but it was really cheap so...More

We went up the top of Carlton Centre as part of the Red bus tour. A guide from the bus company accompanies groups to the top and then back to the bus stop. So it is safe to do. The last time we went to...More

The view you get from the top of this building, the tallest in the inner city of Johannesburg, is a 360 degree view and gives a fantastic perspective to grasp the size of the city. It's a very good start to any inner-city tour to...More

This location will enable you to see the city as a whole and learn about the history as well. Our guide was able to demonstrate how the city was used to enact and enable apartheid. The historical photos and displays are interesting and educational
