A wonderful outing with the family and kids. Such a relaxed atmosphere and well run establishment. Animals cared for and amenities very nice. Lots of things and animals to see, never feel crowded. Stayed in chalets a few years ago and really enjoyed the quiet and fresh air. Hubby and his daughter remember staying in the house with no electricity... More

We went to the reserve on 14 may , enjoyed watching the Lions, cheetahs and wild dogs get fed.The reptile park was very empty.enjoyed the animal creche as we could see the animals up close. Unfortunately because of the rain could not use the braai facilities.

For an experience of what it is like to live without electricity for a few days, this is a fairly good place to do it as there is so much to keep one entertained without it being necessary for you to be on your smart phone. The animal crèche is really entertaining however I do feel too much emphasis is... More

Came to Johannesburg for work, and could only spare 1 day during the weekend to explore. Chose the Rhino and Lion Nature reserve as it was closer than the Kruger national park. It was a great experience. Booked a game drive earlier during the week, and booking is simple through their online website. Hired an uber to go directly from... More

Highly recommended day trip. My wife and I travelled from Sydney, and wanted to experience a game reserve again. This is by far the best! As promised we saw four of the big five. Not only that, we saw giraffe, zebra, wild dogs, Meer Kat, ostrich, lots of rhino, wart hog, white lion, jaguar, tarantula, black adder, python, cobra. Great... More

While this attraction features: a wondercave; accommodation; a kids playpark; wildlife; an animal creche; and a reptile centre, I visited the wildlife part of the nature reserve as well as the animal creche, which I would not recommend visiting. The animals are in very small enclosures, that compare poorly with good zoos, such as the Pretoria zoo, In some of... More

We stayed in the log cabins which are lovely. It was great to be close enough to visit family and friends in Randburg but still enjoy the bush. Staff were very friendly and helpful and when it came to bringing my mum to visit in her wheelchair the staff went out of their way to help us and swooned over... More

Mixed feelings after the visit to the reserve. It is of decent size and all kind of cars can go but it is definitely better to go with a 4x4. We started by having lunch which was surprisingly good, the meat was extremely tender. We then went to go check the creche which is the really sad part of the... More

I decided to visit the reserve after seeing their website. The reserve is not that big but I did see quite a variety of game before I got to the predator camp. It was quite rainy and the roads were not really suitable for a sedan. The camps for the wild dogs and lions are quite big...but when I think... More
