You will enjoy the most spectacular view of Table Mountain from the manicured Kirstenbosch gardens. The view makes this attraction a must see when visiting Cape Town. The gardens provides a great picnic venue and day out with the family. The 360 degree view from the tree canopy walkway is amazing. You will also have access to a few different... More

Great insight into the native flora and rather a lot of bird life on show as well. Spectacular gardens with Table Mountain as a backdrop. The recently opened canopy walk is well worth a look, with panels describing what you can see, including an explanation of why Table Mountain is flat topped. If travelling there by taxi, don't rely on... More

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are beautiful. The place is vast and green and you can enjoy long walks in nature in a way that most botanical gardens do not provide worldwide. The boomslang canopy bridge was our favorite place! As was the enchanted forest. However, the garden does not boast gardens of flowers as do many other botanical gardens. It is... More

These gardens, which date back to 1913, are housed on 528 hectares (1300 acres). There is ample free parking and when my wife and I visited, the admission fee was 60 Rand per adult. In addition to the various species of trees, plants and flowers visitors can enjoy, there are a number of statues, animals, butterflies and insects that visitors... More

We took the first hop on hop off bus to the gardens, which is great if you really want to enjoy the beauty and isolation. The gardens became quickly packed as the morning headed towards the afternoon. There's so much to see and enjoy - from amazing gardens and plants to beautiful views of the mountains and Cape. I would... More

Even if you're not a plant lover or tree hugger, go to this garden. It is magnificent! The tree specimens alone are worth the modest price of admission, and there are countless places throughout to just laze about, have a picnic or just look. Gorgeous beyond words!

Two years ago we went in their fall, it was great, now we went at the start of summer, it was even better. a must see, they have tours at Gate 1 every hour for about 8 in a cart. Good early or have your hotel reserve a seat. Good guides for an hour.
