This is a great park with 3 or 4 different levels of difficulty. The only small issue is that there is quite a big difference between the beginner course and the next level up, but if you're used to mountain biking it's not a problem. You can easily rent a bike from the shop at the park (R250 for about... More

Giba Gorge has something for everyone, and is growing every few months! Set in a rural like surrounding just 15minutes from central Durban, this adventure center can easily go unnoticed! The park is centered around a biking theme, with a good number of mountain bike trails from absolute beginner to the most advance. A kids pump track and play area,... More

This place is a hidden gem just a stone throw away from the city. Beautiful park setting for picnic with tablets and benches. Restaurant on site is convenient. Bike park is excellent. The hiking trail to the waterfall was the highlight of the day. Kids loved it and can't wait to go back. This place is worth every penny. Entry... More

Giba Gorge offers a variety of trails for both mountain bikers and for hikers. It also boasts world class facilities for BMX enthusiasts. The bike trails vary from beginners to insanely technical. Choose your distance from a few km to 16km plus. My own interest at present lies in photography and hiking and I am able to satisfy both of... More

Loads of fun for bike riders as they have tracks & ramps to ride. They also organise cross country rides for the bigger kids. Whilst it is well off the beaten track you will not be disappointed if you have little ckids to entertain. The restaurant is also pretty good with quite an extensive menu.

Excellent for walking and birding in the forest and along the river. Trails are easy in the river valley and more challenging up the hills. Friendly atmosphere and hiking, biking and dog walking mix very well. Restaurant and biking shop on site.

Wide range of trails from "Baby Steps" to steep and serious. Our group has hiked all these trails many times. Large areas of natural forrest with some patches of alien invaders. THREE picturesque waterfalls. Some birdlife, small mammals and reptiles. Two scenic dams and two perennial streams .

I had some time on a Sunday PM during my first trip here to Durban on business. I decided to google bike rentals in Durban and saw the Giba Gorge park and decided to take a chance on a 30 min drive outside of town to what I hoped would be a good time. What a great place. I paid... More
