A fun night out for our family. There was a fair variety of activities for children and adults.New activities linking the museum's content to the current lifestyle trends and interests of children. The support staff were excellent. Could do with a nice coffee shop, but that may not be financially viable and wouldn't really work for night at the museum.... More

This is one great way to spend a couple of hours. The animal collection is an absolute marvel. So close to the birds and mamels. It feels as if they are alive. The historical display of the development of man in Southern africa is excellent. The signs and times of South Africa through political change is another interesting view. The... More

Inexpensive to visit. The museum has many different exhibits on different items including life size animals, historical houses of the city, history of the city.

An inexpensive alternative for holiday makers when the weather is foul or cold, the museum has a very popular interactive dinosaur display to keep little ones enthralled. I enjoy the recreastion of the busmen cave and the "under the sea" theme.

An absolutely magnificent experience. Not to be missed. You get lost in time and marvel at the past. Highly educational and fulfilling. After all what is a peron with no knowledge of ones past.

R10 entry per adult. If you are on a budget and have time to kill, then knock yourself out. A bit of time travel is required, as most exhibits look like it came from the 70's and ill maintained since. Some exhibits also require light bulb replacements. Kids may enjoy the extensive stuffed animal collection. The museum caters for a... More

Beautiful collection with some amazing history behind it. Well maintained and inviting. There are some phenomenal pieces in this collection and the information provided is well thought out and some of the detail fascinating. The more modern sections were nicely laid out and made for a nice change.
