The water is quite warm which makes it really nice. There were life guards on duty, this was great as the ocean was really rough. There are a number of restaurants and coffee shops on the promenade. Beach was clean. Nice place to swim.

What a beautiful beach! Powerful waves makes this not the most suitable place to swim but the fabulous 5 km Boardwalk more than makes up for this. So well maintained dotted with coffee shops. Beautiful lighthouse makes for great foto opportunities.

This beach is nice. Quit for a wash. Nice and freindly for just walking around for an hour or so. And after the beach you go to the resturants area witch is very close and have a nice meal.

Fantastic Restuarant located in Oysterbox Hotel. Brilliant service from the entire team, but particularly from Charlie and Nigel. Superb food and magic location with a timeless setting and view.

Pronounced '' Umshlanga'', this is a beautiful place with a picturesque lighthouse. Though I would rate Ushaka Beach as a better spot for a swim

I would really recommend The Breakers Resort or Umhlangha Sands Hotel...both on Lagoon Drive in Umhlanga

Is this a nude beach? We will be in SA driving the garden route from PE through to Cape Town. We are looking for nude beaches and nudist hotels. Any suggestions ?

This is not a nude beach and the hotel too doesn't permit nudity.
