Intended just for a short visit, but the volunteers made the experience really interesting. As well as the stunning views , really enjoyed seeing the para gliding enthusiasts preparing and taking off. Almost tempted to try.

Recently visited this site /viewpoint again and I can honestly say it never gets boring. Also depends on weather or time of day on how beautiful the view will be. A nice cycle from either Wilderness or Hoekwil or George. A small piece of road...More

Worth detour for most scenic views on Garden route! Beautiful view on Wilderness and on Africa look like hills. You can easy spend there an hour just looking the views!

We had been cannoning/kloofing around the Map of Africa the previous day so wanted to go and see were we had been. It is a good view and there was a volunteer working there to inform you about the area. Worth a visit if passing...More

We visited Map of Africa on a misty and rainy morning. Although we could not see the full outline, it was a beautiful view anyway.

The views are spectacular in all directions. Some interesting facts are shared by volunteers on site. Please make a donation.

Just a novelty viewpoint really; presumably encouraged by the Wilderness tourist office. Enjoy the trip.

Beautiful views. A must see if visiting the Wilderness. It was a bit rainy when we visited, but that did not spoil our experience one bit. There is a small bit of dirt road you have to drive on to get to the area.

Impressive view on a good day but no facilities, nothing to interest the Tourist - no informative, signs.no tour guides etc.Rather a damp squib and not worth the effort of finding it on a gravel road.
