The safari was quite nice, but I wonder why keep some lions in a "cage". The huge National park Kruger is so close that the lions could be in a natural place. Somehow the safari left the feeling of getting the money from the tourists.

We have visited the Ranch for the second time after some 4 years and were really surprised about the developments in there. First time there we had the feeling all the project is somehow about conservation and your payments are going to some good purposes. What a dissappointment our second visit was... The place is now a guidebook tourist trap... More

This was a personal highlight of a family stay at the The Ranch Resort - I highly recommend this activity. And NO! The lions are not drugged or abused - you could feel the love and respect from the rangers for these wild animals. And if anyone is disappointed because under 15 year olds are excluded, get real! These are... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this "walk with the lions". The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and of course looking after our safety at all times. The experience is dependent upon the temperament of the lions. For example, on this occasion, we could not walk with them while holding their tail (which we have done in the past) because the young... More

We organised to stay at the Ranch Resort for a few days so we could experience "Walk with Lions". When we arrived we were told that children under 15 are not allowed to take part. The website advertises "Walk With Lions - Limpopo and enjoy an outing with family and friends,or walk with the lions for an awesome company team... More

Well organised. Would recommend it anytime. Only negative was that rangers keep walking in front of people trying to take some pictures. Rangers are not really attentive to photographers trying to get a few good pictures. We try to understand their way of operating, but yeah apart from this little issue, it was very well conducted. So why you still... More

Great experience we were a party of nine, seven family members from the United States. Our guild was excellent, I would recommend this to all visitors coming to Polokwane.
