I drove this on my way back from Cape Point to Hout Bay. The drive is very scenic, and a nice drive. There's a small toll but nothing major. Highly recommended

Driving out of Hout Bay you'll come across Chapman's Peak. This route is good to take if you're heading back into Cape Town and takes you through Noordhoek. You'll have to go through a toll booth which will cosy R42 if you're in a car....More

If you're driving in a standard (light-weight) car, a small toll of R42 will open up a world of views to you. The only way it could get better, is if I had wings to explore the view from above. The drive is really a...More

Chapman's Peak Drive was one of our favorite activities while visiting Cape Town. For a cheap toll fee, you get some of the best views in all of the Western Cape. Along the drive, there are many pull-offs allowing you to take pictures, relax and...More

If you are staying in Cape Town I would suggest a clockwise visit to go along the M4 Cape Point via Simon's Town would be a good place to start, visiting St James, Boulders Beach, Cape of Good Hope, then around onto Chapman's Peak Drive...More

Accesible by car or bicycle. Not a very long drive, but the panorama is beautiful. One of my favorite things to do in Cape Town.

We took the route back from Cape Penisula through Chapman's Peal Drive back to Cape Town and the views just before sunset is simply stunning. Allocate extra time to make pit stops along the way and temperature do drop once it reaches around 4pm onwards.

You can hire a scooter in town to travel across Chapmans Peak drive and from there you can travel to Boulders Beach to see the penguins. They are both lovely destinations to visit. You can rent a scooter in Cape Town. Take... More
