Just up Kloof Nek Road from the center of town is this thriving beach community. Plenty of trendy nightclubs, shops and cafes bring diners and shoppers, while tranquil seas and fine white sand draw sun worshippers and swimmers.

The beach is one of the best. Surrounded by bars, restaurants , malls and lovely scenery, one can spend hours here. We walked on the beach. Did not see many swimmers as there was a warning signboard placed that day.

Was a little cold and rough to swim as we came in winter but the waves crashing on the rocks makes a lovely view

Beating the Twelve Apostles is difficult, maybe only from atop the Table Mountain, which indeed will take you to the real skulls of these stony saints, views are best. If you add a nice beach and gorgeous houses and splendid bars, the combination is perfect....More

Lovely to walk and watch the waves. Didn't swim as it was winter (June). There is a tidal pool for safer swimming. Waves were huge and signs indicated rip tides. Lots of large rocks for sitting on if you don't like the sand.

I love Camps Bay Beach. It's easily accessible via a MyCiTi Bus, and with ample restaurants and shops around, you can laze about for an entire day. I do prefer the quartet of Clifton beaches, just a stone's throw away, though, but it is admittedly...More

Spending a few days in this place you finish concluding that God was inspired and very happy when He created Cape Town. Eden might be here!

We went here for food and drinks along the esplanade and had lovely times here. The beach itself appears to be quite nice and tidy with clean sand and clean water. We didn't go swimming as it was too cold however we climbed on the...More

An umbrella is about 6-8€ and a chair about 4-6€ for the day some are less. It depends who you rent from, there are several different companies.

Yes there are many chair and umbrella vendors. They will approach you as soon as you walk onto the beach. Prices vary from 4-6 Euro for a sun lounger and 6-8 Euros for an umbrella for the day.
