Its worth the trip to see this, its a shame the statue of Rhodes was defaced but then I guess every country has idiots.Very peaceful and majestic place with great views of the mountains and the cape.

Apart from getting from historical/heritage value of Rhodes Memorial, it enables a traveler to view various places such as the UCT campuses, Groote Schur hospital, and across the Leeisbig river valley.

The view from Rhodes Memorial of one slice of Cape Town is fantastic, but that's pretty much its only selling point. Compared with the views from other landmarks (Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Signal Hill), I'd skip Rhodes Memorial altogether. The memorial itself also doesn't warrant...More

Worth it a little stop there and take some pictures in the morning (best time to have a nice light). There is a beautiful view from high and a good restaurant behind the monument. But women, please avoid stay alone there.Could be dangerous.

Go there for a great the view of the city. As a monument it Ok. Part of History but could be better maintained. The restaurant at the site is fair and good value for money considering the prime location

It wasn't far from where we were staying. Went there just before sunset and enjoyed the view. Very quiet place.
