Clifton beaches draw crowds for excellent reasons. They are beautiful. They also are very well maintained and clean. The ctiziens of Clifton are fortunate, indeed, to have these gorgeous beaches as their front yard.

Beautiful soft sand, clear, clean water can be a little too cold for long swims. Pack for the whole day as it is not easy to grab something to eat/drink across the road.

Lovely beach 10 minutes walk from Camps Bay. The sun loungers and umbrellas are cheaper than on the main beach and the vendors seem more friendly. The beach is definitely more intimate and secluded and when the winds blow you're sheltered.

Stumbled on these beaches whilst taking hop on/off bus. Fantastic beaches and plenty of restaurans and bars away fro the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. Highly recommended.

Clifton Beaches is split into four different beaches and each has its own character. Easy access down a flight of stairs.

Its probably not always as freezing as it was when we were there in february but I don't think it ever gets warm. Still a refreshing place to soak in the views and get your feet wet. My dad gave the best description of how the water felt on your feet, "like a brain freeze on your feet" It was... More

We went to these beaches on a cloudy April day and it was still awesome. Beautiful sand, the sound of the waves, the view. Everything you can dream of is there! At least stop for a quick walk, it's worth it!

Great views and stunning beaches. The millionaires' houses along the shoreline is a great look. It is indeed 24 carat gold equivalent of real estate in all of South Africa.

Clifton was, when my grandparents settled here in 1920 a sub economic housing development for settlers and returning soldiers. Today however it is one of the top residential and holiday areas in the country. Pristine white beaches and sparkling icy cold South Atlantic waters. A group of beaches you can visit safely when the wind is blowing at Camps Bay... More
