Outside people played different ball games. There was a kind of festival with vine and cheese but it rained all... More

It is special indeed, a unique mixture of nature, culture and fun, but I would recommend it most to lovers of the first of these. Many options for hiking or driving around.

Calling the area as Garden Route is an interesting and wonderful idea to encourage more tourism to certain parts of the country. Infrastructure for tourism in SA is highly commendable to complement all the natural beauty/landscapes that each area offers.

Also went to Tsitsikamma and did a zipwire activity which was great fun especially as we are not so young any more (in our 60s). Did a nice walk in the same area down to the sea... More

It's really hard being the driver when the views are so spectacular - the Garden Route must be one of the longest, most beautiful drives in the world. And the roads are good; none of those pot holes so easy to bounce into in other Southern African countries. And really good signage and places to pull off the road to... More

We did the garden route from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Extremely please that we experienced this trip. It may not have the best scenery in the world in comparison to parts of Europe, US, Canada etc but what the Garden Route has is unique -- the history, the beautiful people, the scenic coastline, lagoon, ravines/gorges, miles and miles of...
