The walk follows over 1km of wooden board walks and bridges across streams and is entirely wheelchair friendly and ideal for the elderly wanting to visit the forest. There is a number of wooden benches and tables along the trail to sit, snack, picnic or enjoy your 'padkos'. Water and ablution facilities.

We love bird watching but do not agree with Zoos' / animals or birds in enforced captivity. Visited with some trepidation but found that whilst contained within a very large enclosed area all the birds have complete freedom of movement. No cages. Really enjoyed the...More

The whole experience has been very well thought out. The walking bridge that takes you down to the bottom of the forest floor and then back to the top is ingenious. Great array of birds and nice staff to ask questions to. Well worth the...More

Birds in a tent as big that when you walk you forget that you are not in free nature. Really an amazing collection of different species of the birds from South Africa.

We have visited the Garden of Eden so many times before and it was always magical to walk through seeing all the ferns and lush garden. Almost something as I would imagine the amazon rain forest being like. But this time we were very disappointed...More

This is a nice place to go for a walk in the forest. The trees are very impressive and one walks on a very well maintained boardwalk. It's not a long walk but very pleasant. We spent less than an hour there but enjoyed it....More

The vast space is closed with the net. The most interesting part is toward the end, where are the flamingos and other floating birds, so count your time properly!

This nature resercve is managed by South African national parksboard and as such we were able to use our wildcard membership to gain access into the park. For other tourists, there is a nominal entry fee. There is a beautiful raised boardwalk which has been...More

Four of us stopped off here for a break and enjoyed the tranquillity of this place. Raised boardwalk allows you to walk through a small forest and hopefully catch a glimpse of some wildlife. Some birds but not much else on our day but it...More

We visited the beautiful small nature reserve on our way to Plettenbergbay. Although the garden is small it gives one a great idea of what the larger forest look and feel is like. There are great examples of yellow wood trees, stinkers, assegai and lots...More
