Shopping and eating

Great day trip! Many restaurants to choose from. Boat cruises and shopping is good. Remember your hat and a jacket if going on a boat cruise.

We were hoping for since nice shots with African products. No charm on this water front set of shots, felt like a typical over-priced tourist trap. We thought a small town would have something more local or interesting- skip it if you are hoping for something different.

We had an apartment at the waterfront and it was great watching the boats come and go (swing bridge getting raised occasionally) and hear the buzz of the restaurants across from our balcony. You can walk to a dozen eating places most of them excellent, and get great views watching the tide come and go at the Lagoon. The shops... More

This hotel is OK but nothing special. It appears to be mainly geared up for the hoards of coaches that arrived and left each day. Rooms are functional but small. Breakfast was awful - an omelette was cooked so little it was cold and runny, bacon etc was burnt and stiff where it had her standing around. We had to... More

It's ok to browse around but it's not worth a specific trip. Shops are a bit tacky, the water is nice however and there are some ok restaurants (Drydock, Mario's). It's got a good view of the bay too

This area has multiple restaurants and many shops. It is a nice place to go for lunch, watch boats and wander through the shops.

We visited this beautiful area yearly and is always very satisfied. Situated in Knysna on of the most picturesque towns in South Africa. Situated on the N2 road. Plenty to view and experience in and around the area. Plenty great restaurants and coffee shops. Great weather all year round.

We checked in @ Baywater Village and someone there advised us to visit the knysna waterfront, when we arrived there we saw how lively the place was, full of tourist. There's a lot to do, it's a whole day's trip and you won't be bored. There are interesting shops, Restaurants and a number of cruises to take. We enjoyed ourselves... More

Numerous curio and tourist oriented shops. Nice way to spend a lazy afternoon, browsing and having a nice lunch at one of the restaurants. Worth visiting when in Knysna.
