The Terblans Trail features on the Rooted in Time Self-drive Tour. The trailhead is at Grootdraai Picnic site. There is a lawned area, picnic benches with braai facilities, fresh water and ablution facilities. The trail is signposted with black on yellow signs with bushpigs on them. Terblans Walk The 6,5km Terblans Walk (2hours) walk through the indigenous Knysna forest starts and ends at the Grootdraai picnic site, ideal for a picnic before or after the hike. Nature lovers will revel at this place. Pack a picnic and go for the day. Lovely walks and bird life abundant. Well worth a visit.

If you want to get away from the city life and just get back I touch with yourself and nature, this will do it for you. Great walk of around 6.5km or so and not too strenuous. Take your time and enjoy nature! It's well worth it!

Was lucky enough to do this walk with someone who could call the ellusive Nerina Trogon. I was completely amazed when my companion made a strange sound and explained to me what to expect. And so it happened! A Nerina Trogon flew overhead and sat facing away from us untill finally it turned around and revealed its full splendourous crimson... More
