We stopped right beside the lagoon and had a swim on a beach which was dead quiet on a sunny Saturday afternoon, the water was warm and clear and the beach lovely and sandy, you would not ask for much more !

The Knysna lagoon is a must see attraction on the Garden Route. The lagoon is popular for picnics along the banks of the lagoon, cycling, fishing and boat rides. The lagoon has bountiful bird life and is great for birding enthusiasts.

The Knysna Lagoon is a very pretty place and you can drive most of the way along either side to the Heads. There are good restaurants at Knysna Quays and there are boat trips availabloe from the marina area.

Spent a week at The Knysna Lagoon and made sure to take a walk at sunrise every single day around the lagoon. Nicely laid promenade. Friendly joggers and cyclists along the route. Felt safe with my kids. Lots of bird life to enjoy. Breathtaking views...More

This is a place for all water sports. Fishing is good . Surrounding forests are spectacular. Coastline is unspoilt . Many adventure attractions. Winters are a bit cold.
