Nice place for sampling MCC's

I was out to try MCC's and Simonsig had a tasting with 3 of them. If MCC's are your thing you should definitely go here.

After reading lots of reviews about this place and the deciding to go on there content,I must say it was disappointing. I did the wine tasting in the small courtyard but there was no interaction as she could not wait to tell us about the wine and disappeared,it was told just from memory. We had lunch ( booked) and sat... More

Having visited many restaurants in the wine lands this has got to be one of the best. Our Waitress whose name I think was Dee was so friendly and pleasant. The food was excellent, the salads looked wonderful and didn't disappoint on taste. You need to go, you won't be disappointed.

The service a\was good, and the setting very nice and there were a lot of people and small and large groups. When you order steak, that is what you get - steak alone on a large plate and a small bowl with it. If you order a hamburger, that is what you get, no chips. We ordered fish and we... More

We enjoyedthe South African MCC's at the pioneer farm for MCC and it did not dissapoint. As locals we were welcomed by the friendly staff and our champagne glasses were filled generously with our selection of three MCC's. One of them was out of stock and the staff substituted with a 2010 vintage Kaapse Vonkel (The normal tasting is a... More

Returned again for some wine tasting with a friend from UK.... Although the price of the wine tasting has risen by R15.00 per person - (your wine tasting fee is returned if you purchase wine - which is fair) - it is SO worth the experience. The lovely lady in charge made us so welcome and was more than generous... More

Can I begin by saying "Oooh-er charlietraveller2016! - who rattled your cage?" (see earlier review) As one of those horrible 'foreigners' - sorry ' wine tasting tourists' - who have the audacity to spend our hard earned savings, travelling thousands of miles to visit your beautiful country full of 'mainly' friendly people, all I can say is "take your head... I am an wine enthusiast and whenever in the Cape, make sure to visit as many farms as i can. Never have i ever given a bad review to a winery until this one. It is the most overrated winery i have ever been to. The only friendly person here was the car guard. I had dropped in to do... More

Hello @charlietraveller2016. We thank you for your feedback and apologize for your unsatisfactory experience. At the time of your visit we had two tasting options, an informal tasting where you collect your wine at the counter, and a formal tasting where the tasting room staff serve you at your table. We apologize if you were not made aware of this... More
