Not much to do or see but the ambience is worth soaking up. There are good eateries and bars. Luckily Portugal is on a reasonable time frame for opening hours unlike Spain so meals can be eaten from 7 onwards in the evening.

This is a beautiful little castle town like so many in Portugal. After the climb to the top of the hill and castle, it was a nice place to have a quick respite. Lots of trees and flowers make for a picturesque setting.

In the shade of the trees in the middle of the city. It is something you rarely see in other places, like Lisbon, for example.

The station was inaugurated in 1916. It contains 20 thousand tiles dating from 1905-1916. The tiles show historic Portugal with landscapes and historic events. The pictures depicted are very realistic and colorful. Well worth seeing.
