From the ferry drop off point to the beach is quite a long walk and not very accessible. Quaint little place where a lot of local islanders live still but not much else to do apart from sunbathe. Still, a lovely place to visit.

You can walk across it in a few minutes, but it is well worth the visit. Small active fishing port. There are a couple of very nice restaurants with patios.

The island has superb ocean-side beaches, several bars/cafes and an interesting landscape that shows itself in different ways depending on the height of tide. Well worth the ferry from Olhao.

We have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed - Rui really knows how to grill fish. Our favourites - Dourada (sea bass) and pork meat with clams.

Caught the ferry from Olhao on a very hot Sunday afternoon. There are lots of cafes and bars, mostly crowded with the shady tables already full. However, a very full glass of wine is €1, Somerset cider €2. It’s an interesting little village to wander...More
