Nice Cathedral

We enjoyed our visit to this smaller church. A great deal of Knights' Templar symbolism. The altar was also interesting.

We site saw the church prior to attending a wedding here. The history and care of this precious site is one to behold. There are certainly more elaborate throughout Europe but this one is special.

The church was beautiful and quiet. It was nice to go inside and sit down and rest. In the main square off of the busy pedestrian street, you have many tourists but also locals in the side alcove. Beautiful example of a town church in Portugal.

If you visit Tomar, and if churches are what you like, this place will deliver it to you. From Gothic age in excellent shape. Inside you'll discover lot of Christian art.

Lovely and interesting. Located in the Town Square. Nice place to get out of the heat on the Prassa too!

This is one of the main sights in Tomas and definitely worth a visit. It is located in the main square in the centre.

Only saw it from the outside, but it's clear that the city revolves around the church. Worth checking out if you're around.

...with winding medieval narrow streets on either side, this is a very lovely church. The tower has a 16th century clock, complete with pigeons flying around when the bells ring. The altar is white and gold Baroque and be sure to walk around to see the side chapels. There is no entry fee.
