Very curious church from early XVI century, later enlarged and altered, that combines elements from different periods and styles: late gothic, baroque and Manueline. The paintings adorning the walls are also from the XVI century.

With many beautiful altars, this church is worth a visit. It closes for lunch, be informed. The outside is very nice, in a beautiful main square of Tomar.

When in Tomar, you should take 15 minutes to view this site too. The portal is very nice, and inside there is some great art too.

The church is at the centre of Tomar, and so it's hard to miss! It is a bit sparse compared to Lisbon churches, but then again, it is not in Lisbon! Worth visiting for its connection to the templars.

We site saw the church prior to attending a wedding here. The history and care of this precious site is one to behold. There are certainly more elaborate throughout Europe but this one is special.

We enjoyed our visit to this smaller church. A great deal of Knights' Templar symbolism. The altar was also interesting.
