The Church of St. Nicholas is were the story of Sinterklaas begins. The church has beautiful Frescoes with biblical stories. I would absolutely recommend a guide to tell you all about it.

The museum and remains of the church are really special due to the value attached to it. The museum could display and merchandise more things related to the spirit and concept of this historically significant day.

It is quite popular with Russian tourists. One of the ancient Christian sites and area around it, has been developed beautifully. It has restaurant and gift shops.

Interesting church, has been kept in a great condition. Would not recommend for elderly people or young children. Avoid going at peak times, try and get there early so you can appreciate the church without all of the tourists groups.
