Galeria Mar Dulce is a small, family run gallery specializing in contemporary and classic Argentine and Uruguayan art. Our gallery is based in the living room and patio of a former townhouse in the Palermo Soho area of the city. We show works by a wide variety of artists ranging from the internationally-known Daniel Santoro and Tulio de Sagastizabal through well established artists in the local field such as Ral Veroni, Lola Goldstein, Cristian Turdera and Isol and including 'emergent' artists like Maria Elina Mendez or Sofia Winazki. We also have works by classic artists such as Raoul Veroni, Federico Ayma and Victor Rebuffo. Classic and contemporary works live together happily in our little gallery as they do in our homes. We present two exhibitions simultaneously: a solo show accompanied by our +COLLECTIVE, which is a group show by about a dozen artists, the intention being to have on show a panorama of the best local artistic production at all moments. We specialise in small and medium format artworks but also have some larger works in stock. Prices range from U$D5 for books and U$D100 for artworks. We speak English and Spanish.

Went on Malbec drinking tour with Viator and part of the visit was a stop at Galeria Mar Dulce. Glass of fabulous Malbec in hand, we had the opportunity to speak with the owner and get to hear her and her husband’s story. The art was lovely and the theme of what they were showing was sweet for my sweet.... More

When you are in Buenos Aires, don´t miss this little lovely art gallery. Linda and Ral will welcome you and delight you with their knowledge of a variety of artists they exhibit in their gallery. Different styles and sizes for all tastes. You can buy a great present or souvenir.

We enjoyed it so much we had a bottle of wine and bought some art. Very nice Scottish host who educated us well in how the art style was chosen. A certain piece caught our eye and we were taken.

My husband and I happened upon Galeria Mar Dulce while strolling through Palermo. The works vary in genre but all very approachable and represent both classical and contemporary artists. We also found it reasonably priced. We love our new art from Argentina...the best way to remember our travels abroad.

Between two separate visits to Galeria Mar Dulce, Ral probably spent over an hour with us talking about the artists' background for the pieces we purchased (including some old works by his own father!). We left feeling we had bought not just some art pieces, but some history.

I arrived in Buenos Aires just in time for Galleria Mar Dulce's opening night of their "Sweet on Sweet" exhibition of art for children or for those who are at heart. Linda and Ral mounted a wonderful opening night with an eclectic mix of artists, admirers, and friends. It was a truly international grouping. The art is whimsical and really... More

Ral and Linda operate a superb gallery in Palermo Soho with an array of art ranging from prints and paintings, collages, metal sculptures and others that represent some of the best of Argentinian art drawn not only from Buenos Aires, but other parts of the country as well. They frequently hold small exhibitions where the visitor will not only meet... More

While living in Buenos Aires we frequented Galeria Mar Dulce and found it to be excellent. We added some great pieces to our art collection (Bianki, Turdera, Veroni, Santoro, etc). Linda was always wonderful to work with and the gallery always had interesting exhibits. We highly recommend a visit.

I was so happy to find this unassuming gallery next to the B&B we were staying at in Palermo Soho. It has unique works from local Argentinian and Uruguayan artists. All of the art is also for sale at very reasonable prices. I picked up 2 great pieces already professionally framed for $110 USD. It would be almost impossible to... More

When in Buenos Aires, do go visit this lovely little gallery! It has original art work, mostly by local artists, that you won't easily find anywhere else. Linda, one of the owners, is very friendly. She told us about the various artists, their works and the Argentine art scene in general. Next time we're in Buenos Aires, we'll definitely stop... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
