Calle Reconquista/ Defensa, in downtown/ San Telmo, BA, is blessed with 5-6, gorgeous cathedrals and Basilica is no different. Gold leaf adorns the sanctuary, as restorers work endlessly, on renewing the frescos! Gorgeous!

This church is the second most impressive church I've seen in Buenos Aires. It has amazing windows, incredible ceilings, and an impressive selection of sculptures and other pieces of art. Highly recommended

Really enjoyed visiting this old church. It's very small but plenty of history and extremely decorative. Worth a visit if passing.

Persistence in our case paid off. The 3rd time was the charm since it was closed the first 2 times we were by. Very ornate interior. I'm glad we didn't give up on trying to see it.

Near Plaza de Mayo you find this beautiful church in the colonial era, steeped in history and priceless pieces of crafts as his altar.

Located in Downtown it is one of the most beautiful churches in BUenos Aires. A must see is the altar made of gold. Try to visit it when in downtown

An escape from all the noise of the streets outside. Impressive interior. I'm not quite sure if the map location is 100% correct - from my memory was just around the corner from where posted on trip advisor.

Just happened to be returning from Plaza de Mayo when I stumbled upon this hidden gem along the way. It didn't have as many rooms as the Cathedral in Plaza de Mayo, but that didn't make this basilica any less impressive. The main alter especially...More
