Plaza Italia is a small park in the barrio of Palermo. The Plaza itself is fairly average but the main entrances to the Zoo, the Botanical Gardens and the la Rural Expo Center are adjacent. The area is very busy with traffic, as it is...More

Probably the worst plaza I saw in BA. Small park style that is in a busy traffic area. Only take in if you are walking nearby

The Plaza Italia has one of the busy intersections of traffic in Palermo district. There is a heroic statue in the small park in the centre of the Plaza, and the traffic circulates around it 2 to 4 abreast depending on the daring or urgency...More

I was staying in Palermo and caught the subway at Plaza Italia. I saw the statue, homeless people, and traffic. In about a minute I saw all there was to see.

The Plaza italia is good to come, see, take photo and leave. Many homeless and other "people" around. Take care with your values. Many stores and restaurants at few blocks.

This is much more of a monument than a plaza. What the statue has to do with Italy or Italians was not clear, but the figures were quite dashing.

If you happen to be popping up here after taking the Subte (subway) then yes, look for 30 seconds at the statue. The plaza itself is dirty and sometimes homeless people hang out there. Not a scenic locale and not worth the look unless you're...More
