This is a very beautiful facility and in its prime it must have been quite something to see. There certainly is lots of gambling opportunities. You could play at the very reasonable tables or at some very expensive tables. My wife and I each purchased 100 pesos worth of chips. We enjoyed our experience at the roulette table. Felt very... I really love this City, is a part of my life, but the last couple of years it hasn't been taken the care it needs to still be what it was. This place in particular is sometimes dirty, there's people drinking, there's not enough light at night or security. The beach at this point is OMG, filthy is not enough... More

I went twice early to avoid busy times and was surprised to see exactly same people both times, all locals and it seems they live there. I pretended i didn't speak spanish and it was interesting to see hear the comments that other players made to the... More

This is one of the most iconic places in Mar del Plata. The building, even if it is not at a moment of splendour, stills an impressive construction. And the Rambla its beautiful, even when sometimes there people dancig salsa or cumbia with full volume sound.

Had heard about the beauty and elegance of this place so ventured there to experience it myself. Sadly it is a bygone era. As beautiful as I would imagine this hotel would have been in its hey day, it is now sadly needing love and care. From the inside it was dark and almost looked like they haven't been paying... More

Stayed at both the Hotel Provincial (with its casino) and the Hermitage a block away. These huge hotels used to be the place were the wealthy went, not anymore. I enjoyed the vast spaces, candelabra and other relics from the 40's and 50's. In need of huge investments to bring it to the 21st century, but because they are in... More

Not very inviting, really. Crowded in summer. Better begin to walk south, after the Torreón del Monje.
