Just off of Highway 89, easy to find. Horses were in good condition, guide was knowledgeable & friendly. My stepdaughter who is not a super experienced rider felt comfortable & safe. I wish we could have done a little bit more trotting & even a canter or 2, however, overall, the ride was truly beautiful & enjoyable without the added... More

We opted for the 2-hour trail ride and we loved it! Clear communication with the ranch when booking and in the run up to the day. We went out with our great guide and just the 2 of us on Smokey & Pepper. Our only regret would be not having time for a full day ride! Finish it off with... More

My husband and I along with my 6yr old child did the hour ride and we had the time of our lives. My husband and child have never been riding before and they had a blast. Horses were happy and had great personalities. My 6yr old rode Cash and the horse and guide were both wonderful with him! Best place... More

My great nephew - who is six - wanted to ride a horse like a cowboy. This operation was safe and well-run. The trail ride lasted an hour and he rode "Cash". There are longer rides but this was plenty for him. There are safety helmets too but you can ride with a hat if you like. Very professional and... More

Preface: my husband or I had never rode a horse before. We nade a reservation at Foothills Ranch on our way back to Phoenix after a weekend in Prescott. We went on a 2 hour trail tour and it was an amazing time! I rode Pepper and my husband rode Maud they were both really good to us. Our wrangler... More

We took a one hour ride with our 8 yr old grandson. Tho the scenery is not the most spectacular, I imagine if you go on a longer ride it gets better, and we were not disappointed in the foothills and creek bed views. We saw 2 adult and 3 baby owls up close!! The horses were NOT barn sour,... More

This is a class act all the way. Al greeted me with a smile, and introduced me to Larry, my horse. We took a two hour ride into the scenic back country only accessible on horseback or on foot. It was an amazing outing, and I would certainly love to take another ride with Al anytime. Highly recommend.

Went for a 4+ hour ride with my girlfriend with Al as the lead (cowboy). While I've only ridden horse once and over 15 years ago, this was a really great experience. Al was friendly, understanding of my novice skills, attentive to my concerns and knowledgeable. Our long ride was a mix of on/off trails, and truly "off the hoof-beaten"... More

Al took my boyfriend and I for an epic 4 hour trip through the foothills of the Prescott National Forest. We went past remnants of the old gold mining days, and Al pointed out and explained the different types of foliage and wildlife as we passed it. He had a great knowledge of the area and its history. The trails... More

What the website says is exactly what you get. No huge line of horses head to tail. It's just the people in your group and the guide. Our guide was the owner of the ranch and he was awesome. They pick out the horse that best suits you. The Tour he takes you on winds all round the land and... More
