Make a great walk, visit all four.

The Plaza Italia is really nice like the others. Definitely worth visiting. It has marble and bronze sculptures including the Roman wolf.

We attended the Italian Festival - this is an excellent part in the center of the city. It is a city block in size and holds an excellent event each year.

In this plaza occurs a big italian food festival, in the same week of the Vindimia festival. In this festival it is possible to try italian food from different region of Italian such as Veneto, emiliana romana, toscana, etc. Out of this italian festival this plaza is a great place to walk especially in the evening.

Like the other squares, a nice little green spot in Mendoza. If you're around, so stop by for a few minutes. I like Plaza Espana the best, but this one is quite atmospheric as well.

Central Mendoza is laid out with 4 small parks surrounding the Plaza Independencia. These smaller parks are very nice. There is plenty of shade. The Plaza Italia has a nice fountain. I recommended visiting all of the smaller plazas.

This park encompasses a small city block in downtown Mendoza. It has impressive statues, (Romulus and Remus?) and tributes to Italian ancestors and immigrants. There is a large fountain in the center and structures with wisteria growing. This is a nice place to rest your weary feet.

Strolling through Mendoza, we found this quiet little square very peaceful, with the fountain cooling us down a little and benches inviting us to a welcome break after two hours or so of walking. Liked the statues Of Romulus and Remus, liked no commercial enterprises on the premises. Just sit down, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet..

Thank Marie K
