If anywhere near the area ... definitely make a stop to see this dam. The scenery is amazing. I believe there's white water rafting nearby ... however we didn't have the time.

So it was good to go for the view of both the lake and the Andes, and if you like rafting or canoeing then great you should go. If not.. there isn’t much else we found.

We visited the lake as we were heading up into the Andes for a hike. It was a beautiful day and this enhanced the colour of the water and the geological features.

Really beautiful views of the mountains reflecting on the crystal clear water. I would recommend booking a tour to see it.

I haven’t seen anyone swimming or even practicing any activity at the Potrerillos Dam. Perhaps you should try Termas de Cacheuta. At the Mendoza river there are some activities, such as canoeing, and rafting
