This exquisite 18th century church rises at the site of two earlier churches destroyed by natural disasters. You can detect the influence of similar architectural styles seen at the cathedrals of Salamanca and Zamora (in Spain). The characteristic shades of ivory and terracotta make this...More

This church looks new with its bright colors. It stands tall in this neighborhood. Inside is nice but I have seen so many more notable churches that I was disappointed. If you are near, take a peak but it is not worth a taxi ride.

Wish it would have been opened when passing by. It is fabulous from the outside and even more during the night when it is illuminated, can be seen from afar.

Highly decorated church constructed between 1625 -1870 with several rebuilds. The outside is a striking red and yellow colour. I side there are some old artworks.

This is the other church in Salta that one must try and visit. It's really a short walk from the Catedral de Salta and is as beautiful. I always wonder how they keep the outside colours so vibrant thru all weathers during the year.

We visited this church and we were lucky to be present while a wedding was taking place. The outside of the building is beautifully coloured and so is the inside. Well worth a visit.

Ornate church, quieter than local cathedral. The outside is kind of surrealistic, definitely unique. Inside nice, but nothing special.
