Lovely plaza with lots of very tall trees which provide ample shaded areas to just sit back and people watch! Nice statues and fountains. Two museums and a church can be found around the square.

When you are traveling thru south america for 2 months you get to see many plazas and this one is a very nice one.

I the past five days we have witnessed in this plaza a major feminist demonstration for equality, a mass celebration by high school students celebrating their school's anniversary. It had a small band, lots of signs and singing and chanting. We saw some street comics...More

Lovely plaza to stroll around. Many interesting buildings with their amazing architecture, so much history around there and also lot´s of cafe´s to just stop and take it all in.

Take a walk around this plaza where amongst the Catedral de Salta and the archaeology museo of Alta mountain child mummy there are the usual shops and restaurants to try and lots of locals having social times and chattering away.
