Worth a visit, although IMO not as great as some others say! The history is interesting, and the exhibits well presented. I particularly liked the audio visual presentation of the battle of Tucuman. May as well take a look whilst in Tucuman, to be fair it is the main attraction in town. The traditional house, that was reconstructed, is particularly... More

Nice and worthy visit to one of the iconic historic places of Argentina. The house and museum were renovated for the bicentenary of the country. It is a nice an quite short visit to get a better impression of the declaration of independence!

The dawn of Argentina country were very difficult , to the point that independence was declared in a family home. Do not miss this.

It never hurts to learn a little about history and that's exactly what you can get during a short visit at this museum. The creation of Argentina is well presented in the exact place where it happened. Texts are in Spanish only but quite understandable with a basic command and the building itself is very nice. Not a must but... More

The history of Argentina has a lot to do with this place. In this place the independence was claimed after some regional wars against the Spanish Crown. During the visit one may listen guides and read some details of these wars and that epoch. The most interesting is to visit the room where the independence claim was made, this room... More

This is probably one of the most important places in the history of Argentina, but sadly, its run like a cheap municipal museum. History and restoration are not priorities within the culture of the country and you will easily appreciate that in any museum in the country, where you will probably have the museum for yourself and you rarely will... Beautifully maintained, and clearly explained this historical House where argentine Independence borned in 1816, justified a visit.

Fascinating place where history was made at the beginning of Argentina's independence and the Argentinian President still comes on 9th July each year when Tucuman is the capital rather than Buenos Aries. But to understand everything (if you don't speak fluent Spanish) as for an official guide who speaks English. No extra cost and a greatly enriched experience.

Loved this little town. However the only reason people come here is for the Tucuman House (also a museum). Its significance? Argentina's independence was issued on 9 July 1816. It is definitely worth a visit because it allows you to learn a little bit of Argentina's history. You can also dress up in a period costume and have your photo... More
