Only a few kms away from town, this short river offers nice views of the lake and surrounding forests. The color of the water is just amazingly green. You can cross the bridge and then walk the shore. Go early to avoid lots of people

I've been to Rio Correntoso dozens of times. It's one of my favorite spots to visit. There are more picturesque rivers. But, there's something about this one that draws me in. Beyond it's diminutive size, the colors make it feel like it was plucked out of the Caribbean. Vivid blue & turquoise shimmers in the river, especially where it empties... More

This place can be hard to get to if you don't know where to turn off the main road. There is a parallel road going down the coast of Nahuel Huapi on the city side of the car bridge. Moreover, it's a nice place to walk to in the evening, either through the neighborhood Epulafquen (but make sure you bring... More

Quiet, relaxing, and neat to find out it is the world's shortest river. We took pictures from above and below, walked over the bridge and enjoyed seeing just how clear and clean the river is.

I loved it, they have it all, the perfect views, rooms, food, hotel service...I know it is rather pricy but they have specials and discounts so do not doubt it. I will be back soon!!!

This is approached by a short but rough road. It is a nice view of an old bridge and this very short "river" connecting the two lakes. We took a peep as it was recommended to us, but against the other outstanding views on the Seven Lakes Drive, it doesn't compare.

Rio Correntoso is located in Villa La Angostura (Argentina) and is the effluent of Lago Correntoso (27 km2) into the Nahuel Huapi Lake (557 km2) with only 200-300 meters longitude. It is not easy to find because is down the highway and very short. I recommend stopping especially if you are doing "The Seven Lakes" drive. Great spot for fly... More

We walked along the shore from our hotel to get here. The journey was better than the destination. Ran into a group of teenage girls from Mendoza who treated my 18 year old son like a rock star. Met a dog as well that followed us for a bit then saw him in town again later that evening. Treated the... More

This is a must visit. Not properly shown on the highway if driving you need directions. The short river connects lake Correntoso to Nahuel Huapi. The view is spectacular. Don't miss it.
