Natural thermal springs in an exquisite natural backdrop make it a beautiful place but I go at night to avoid the throngs of tourists which truly is bothersome. When I go to hot springs I do not want to be sharing them with hundreds of people and you are if you go most of the year or all year round... More

Very crowed on the weekends but still worth going. You can buy or rent a cap which is a must. Went three times in 2 days :)

Out hotel was literally across the street from Termas de la Virgen so my wife and I were up early and at the baths by 7:00 a.m. The fee is only a dollar or two BUT you must wear a swimming cap (you can rent one for $.50). So we paid our fee, grabbed a plastic milk carton case, put... More

Entrance fee is cheap 3 dollars so a good deal for the overall pool. It was a bit crowded, but I recommend switching from the coldest and hottest pools because they are the least crowded. I did watch them drain the pools and add sulfur mid-Sunday afternoon. Enjoy a mud facial or massage, but the facilities are a bit dated.

There is a new spa/aqua park being built next door, walk around the corner for the very dated public spa. Cost us $3 entrance fee. Free boxes for clothes, collect from kiosk then take back they give you a number on a band ( don't lose it). We visited in the evening's after a long day doing fun stuff in... More

My family and i went to the hot spring pools in the evening. It was a little chilly but the pools made the running from to the other delightful. It's very crowded with locals and families but actually enjoyed that. We felt welcomed and "part of the family". It was $3 for adults if your not a national and $1.5... More

Went there at 7.30pm, it was very crowded, over 60 people in one pool. Entrance 3€, haircap 1€ (you can keep it afterwards..) Nice temperatures, recommend to go when it's more quiet

The place opens early in the morning - 5am I think (check before arriving at 5 in case I have that wrong) It is mobbed by 630am with locals who seem to perhaps go every day. That really makes a traveller feel like they are seeing the real Ecuador - which they are! Five pools - three on the upper... More

It was $3 per adult and $2 per child. We felt so relaxed afterward. There were 3 of the 4 pools open when we went. A super crazy hot one, a luke warm one, and a super cold one. The pools and grounds are very natural looking. If you are looking for a 5 star experience you should go somewhere... More

Great therapy!, Hot natural water from the volcano containing a variety of chemicals, considered "a cure for all ailments" from ancient times. Three pools with different water temperatures, the hottest one in the lower floor, be careful, it could burn you if you have sensitive skin. Cold natural water from the cascade available. Find relaxing jumping from one to the... More
