Nice to snorkel out there. The current wasn't too bad. Nice area to park and get a fale and there's a little caravan shop that sells the bomb chilli dogs

Every year for the last 30 years I travelI to Samoa and spend several hours a day swimming in Palolo Deep. There is nowhere else to swim in Apia as the harbour is polluted and there is no coral or interesting fish. The setting consists...More

I went here with high expectations of great snorkelling but was quite disappointed. 5 Tala each entry fee (which is very reasonable) and a free fale to shelter from the sun but very few fish to view. Also the incoming tide created a strong cross...More

The reserve is walking distance from Apia just past the harbour and the entrance is really well done with lots of seating and fales to store stuff in while you snorkel. You can hire gear from the entrance and there is a basic shower and...More

One can hire snorkling gear for approx.25 tala. Not too deep until you get to the reef. Lots of marine activity. If you are daring enough, can swim to the tiny island. Free fales ideal for picnic.

Amazing snorkeling, swim out 800meters to drop off and just swim along to the right of the drop off. See beautiful different colour coral, lots of fish, we saw a turtle. It was just such a great day trip.

Perfect spot to go and Snorkel if staying in town. The reef drops about 100 meters from the beach and plenty of cool fish to see.

The place is a great place to snorkel, but the gear they rent is not the best. If you don't have your own gear there is a place at the Apia Flea markets that rents great gear for $10tala per day, which is very good....More

I went a few times and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and snorkeling. I think at low tide it would be impossible to go out, so only go during high tide. The bathrooms are horrible and owners need to make them nicer if they want...More

The day we went was sunny but the water was a bit choppy. The variety of coral & fish were beautiful. Its like swimming in a fish tank! Note to self - don't eat a deep fried lamb bun before snorkeling :-(

Even sitting in waist deep water near the shore we could still see plenty of fish, so it would be fine for anyone who is able to put their head under water. Having said that, there is a strong current (we weren't told about... More

They just rent out snorkelling gear - take your own food and drinks - lovely spots to picnic under shade. I think entry was about 5 Samoan tala or maybe 10 but terrific value. Saw loads of fabulous fish. Suggest one hour... More
