I loved this place. I visited 3 times over my week stay in Apia and recommend visiting. I will definately return again when I visit Apia again. I loved the authenticity of the place, the snorkeling was perfect for me. The water was clear of rubbish and debris everyday I visited and of a warm temperature. The depth ranged from... More

On Saturday we stopped by and asked what time is good to snorkel for our family on Sunday. We were told midday. On Sunday we turned up at 11 am. A little before the time we were recommended. We asked about the current and were just shown the stick in the ocean that we were meant to swim to. The... More

We had a wonderful time at Palolo Deep while we were holidaying in Samoa this April. The place is very serene with shady areas and fales on the beach and some big swings hanging from the giant trees. The coral and fish are amazing and the fruit smoothies are to die for! It is also conveniently located only 10 min... More

Went here on a Sunday because everything else was closed. I believe entry was 10 or 15 Talla. Rented snorkel and mask for 11 Talla. The lady showed me a stick in the water and told me that was the place to go. I was a little concerned because it was quite far out, than she told me, there is... More

We spent an hour here today. The welcome is nothing special but after paying 5 tala and walking out for five minutes into the shallow waters we found the drop off and lots of beautiful fish and coral. Right on the edge of town so easy walking distance.

We didn't realise that when it's high tide you have to swim out to the reserve and if the water is rough (as it was when we were there) the owners strongly discourage you from going out....so we didn't. Unfortunately missed out on the snorkelling but still rated this a three as it was a nice place to hang out... More

Hubby and I visited at low tide unfortunately, but it was the only time we were able to get there. Staff were not that helpful - we explained we had our own gear so they took our money, pointed at a stick out in the water and said "that way" and that was it. There is a strong current that... More

Considering it is so close to the town you would not expect it to be there. A great snorkelling spot but be careful as the floor drops away and can catch you unaware. You will see that some of the coral is dying so preservation should be in in the forefront of your mind. A cafe of some kind should... More

We did this reserve as part of a full day tour of Upolu and spent the first few hours here snorkelling. The younger and elderly members of our group enjoyed the surrounding area.
