The old 66 route over the mountain. Lots of switchbacks, narrow road, most without guard rails - keep both hands on the wheel. Very scenic but hard to imagine this was the best route for the Mother Road to get across this part of Arizona?...More

What a beautiful and scary drive. Off the beaten path and a great part of Route 66. Make sure your tank is full and stay in your lane what views and what a drive. Loved it

Lots of twists and turns and beautiful scenery. So much of the dessert is in bloom and it was beautiful. Everywhere you look the colors just keep changing. Well worth the slow dive.

The view from Kingman in the morning is stunning. It also puts the sun behind you for better photo ops.

I am unsure of where you are headed for in the Grand Canyon, but Oatman appears to be out of the way as Oatman is halfway between Kingman and the CA border. From the Grand Canyon you could head south toward I-40 and... More
