Just returned from Family Fun Night Water Color class with John Erwin at Shemer Art Center. Had so much fun learning how to water color in 2 hours. What a great way to spend a hot evening in Phoenix. Sooooo want to do another class!

Thoroughly enjoyable. Located in what was once a private home on lovely grounds. Small, intimate museum that focuses mostly on sculpture - both large and small. Donation requested but not required for entry. Free parking.

We did not love the art at the Shemer Art Center, but we found the micro dwelling exhibit fascinating. There were several examples of different types of very tiny dwelling and we enjoyed seeing how one could maximize the living space in them.

I recently took a metal and enamel class here with Larry as the instructor. The class was great, as well as the instruction. The grounds and historic home are beautifully located at the foot of nearby mountain ranges. I would recommend a class or at...More
