Visited the basilica, but were not able to attend mass. Nevertheless this is a beautiful church inside and out. Gift shop was closed when we were there. Great place for quiet contemplation.

We attended the noon mass on a Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The pipe organ accompanied the musician and several parts of the mass were in Latin. The church is beautiful; just lovely windows & statutes. FYI: gift shop is closed Monday & Tuesdays.

I have been in several cathedrals and basilicas and this wasn't as elaborate as some. Many stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Bible. Easy walk from Rosson House if you're in the area.More

I often say the true beauty of St. Mary's Basilica are its people. St. Mary's Food Bank, the first food bank in the world, was founded at St. Mary's Basilica. Today you will find a food bank in every, city, county, state and country feeding...More

Both the grounds and the inside of this Roman Catholic Church were beautiful. Took lots of pictures and really enjoyed the time I spend. Has a gift shop but it wasn’t open when I was there. Open weekend 1-5.

With an endorsement by John Paul the Great, what more could I add? It is downtown and offers confession and masses - and while I got lucky with the parking - plan ahead for prime time street meter parking.

This Basilica really feels very comfortable and spiritual inside. Architecturally beautiful both inside and out. Flying buttress ceilings always impress us. There is a juxtaposition outside though - this beautiful basilica is surrounded by ultra-modern buildings and high-rises. The beauty would have been showcased better...More

Absolutely Beautiful Basilica and loved it was open to go in to pray. The stain glass windows are beautiful. They have several handicap accesses. The grounds are very pretty.
