OK venue, overpriced drinks

Really nice venue. Free parking was a plus. Hot food including pizza fries. Reasonable prices and we never had to wait in line for more than a few minutes for bathrooms or concessions. Merchandise lines were very long. I would suggest getting there early and going straight to the merch lines.

We came here for a concert in September. While there are some good things like acoustics and large screens, they could use more ceiling fans and ventilation. Down on the floor in front is extremely hot. Also, they added about 7 or 8 rows of folding chairs up front and since they are temporary, they are not numbered, although the... More

Love the venue, but not the speaker system. Bands sounded great. Could not understand the words from seating 3/4's back under the roof. First time at a FGL concert, could be the reason. Not familiar with their music. Beer and food was more than expensive to me. Three beers and a water $52.00. Plain pretzel $5.00. Don't know how the... More

Love the venue once you get inside but they have a horrible system for ticket entry- lines are always terribly long! Same always goes for their t-shirt merchandise lines- get a better system please!!! Parking is frustrating, but that's not uncommon for an event venue- wear shoes you can walk through the dirt in b/c if you have to park... More

The nightly weather in Phoenix during the month of October is phenomenal. We sat 10 rows off of the stage but prior to the event we walked the facility. Honestly probably not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of facilities to purchase sundry's, short lines, all in all great ambiance. The only drawback are the lines for souvenirs. The... More

I have attended several concerts at Ak-Chin Pavilion over the years. It is a great place to Rock out at..I saw Def Leppard there a few times. The venue is outside. The stage and lighting crew has always produced a great visual show with each artist. It can get hot during the summer months, though. There are fans that circulate... More

We did the VIP package. Recommend it. You get a free meal (still pay for drinks) but a nice area to relax before and after. Nice seating, bar and a DJ. The VIP parking was the best thing. I could have thrown a rock and hit our vehicle from where we were inside. When it was time to leave you... More

The reason Ak Chin did not get 5 stars is because the parking situation is soooo bad. The venue is great. We sat in the lawn and were able to see everything. There are a ton of food and drink vendors so we never had to stand in line. Leaving is terrible. There is no guidance on leaving the parking... More

There isn't anything glamorous about this West Valley concert venue. However, being tied to Ticketmaster, they get a lot of the big names including REO Speedwagon, Mumford & sons, the Oddball Comedy Tour, and big festivals. Parking is almost always free and there is plenty. Lines get a little long for the more popular acts. There are beer and liquor... More

Clean, easy parking and relaxing atmosphere. Was disappointed that one margarita (though large) was 20 bucks, ouch!
