The lake is pretty small. You can rent a paddle or electric boat to fish. Didn't see much getting caught. The dam cuts off the walking trail so you can't make a full lap around the lake. Easy to pay the use fee as they...More

Sometimes the fishing is good and sometimes the fishing not so good, but the air is always great and it is soooooo relaxing.

Perfect short day trip from the Valley of the Sun. Shady, accessible & enjoyable for every age group, just a wonderful spot. Minutes from downtown Prescott, this is what Arizona is all about. Just lovely.

This small lake is nestled in the tall pines. Picnicking and fishing and just relaxing are what Goldwater lake is all about. Close to downtown Prescott makes visiting the lake a short trip but worth it if you enjoy nature. Hike around the lake for...More

This is a city-owned park. Nice big lake just outside of town. Lots of trees and tables. Trout fishing too. Relaxing. Costs $2 to get in. Ample parking. Good for 2-3 hour retreat.

As far as I know, yes. Picnic tables are first-come basis. City of Prescott owns lake. Might want to call them to make sure.
