The park is well kept and felt safe as a solo female hiker. Bathroom and goody shop for water and souvenirs. The staff were helpful and the on-site horseback riding contractor, MD Ranch, accommodated me at the last minute - yay! Call ahead of you...More

San Tan Mountain Regional Park has all levels of hiking to offer. We started on day one with the easier trails and day two we hit the Gold Mine/Dynamite trail loop which is moderate to difficult. Enjoy your hike!

My wife and I went for a couple of hikes at San Tan Mountain Regional Park in late December, and as always, it was pleasant, pretty easy going, and restful (to get away from traffic, stores, general noise, etc.). There are a number of trails...More

We visited with 85 year old and hiked the little leaf hike and connected with goldmine hike to make a short loop. Maybe 1.5 miles? Easy trail with a few small inclines over dry washes. Nice views of the San Tan mountains, saguaro and barrel...More

Always great to participate in the desert running series at San Tan Regional Park. Annual even with 100’s of runners, great staff, food and the park rangers and staff are amazing!

Easy trails to follow, slight inclines, no big hills and close. Good for biking and horseback riding.

Enjoyed a morning of hiking with three families with young children. We had a couple kids venture off the trail and get cactus ball pokes in the leg. Needless to say they were better about staying on the trail after their cactus encounter. Beautiful views...More

Excellent mountain biking if you like good, fast, flowy trails. Dynamite trail over the mountain, then the San Tan trail makes for a great 20k out and back trip. Very little sand, hard packed, challenging climbs but doable without technical ability. Probably my favourite ride...More
