If you're in Phoenix it's worth while taking a 2 hour drive towards Tuscon and visit this museum. To say it's interesting isn't doing this museum justice. The tour is about 1/2 hour after watching a 17 minute video. If you can't walk up and down the 52 stairs they do have an elevator. The missile is still there (de-activated)... More

What a great tour, the guides are knowledgable and it was fun and educational learning about the underground missile silo.

We arrived planning on the 11:00 tour, but it was sold out so got tickets for the 11:30 tour. There was enough to amuse us in the small museum portion and gift shop. Many were disappointed, arriving just before the tour time they wanted to find out they had to wait an hour or so, so plan accordingly. As our... More

Get there right before they open to get your tickets for the time slot you desire. You may not book online. Check website for their times. We took the one hour tour, you are asked to be there about 15 minutes before. You go into this room to watch an informative brief video on the history of the silo. Then... More

This place offers a couple (maybe more) tours of the Titan Missile complex. I was interested in exploring every inch of this place and to my good fortunate they offer a tour called Top to Bottom Tour. It is limited to 6 people and books up months in advance (a good sign it's awesome!). I booked in December for a... More

Just got back from the tour at Titan Missile Museum. We live 2 miles from it & it took us 11 years to get there! lol Totally awesome. Our guide was very knowledgeable & told us things that if I knew was happening back in 1962, I would have really been frightened! There were 54 of these missile sites in... More

Run mainly with dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers, who do a great job. Arrive early because they can sell out. You may need to wait, but there is plenty to learn in the lobby area.

If you are a history buff go here. a chance to go into a de-activated nuclear missile silo with a missile. Plus Star Trek First Contact shot a scenes here as well. Was a great history lesson, given by well knowledgable staff and guides.

It is a little bit of a drive down to the museum but once you get there you will be extremely glad you did. Go earlier in the day so that you can get into the tour that you want. The amount of history for payment in this site and the fact that it is the only example left make... More

if you are in the Tucson area. It's a bit south but very close to another must-do: St. Xavier Mission. The museum is simply a trip "down" into a very real and scary time in history where the "Cold War" was at it's max of tension, and at the same time, world-ending nuclear capability. As a child of the sixties it's a must,but...
