This is one of those top scenic drives you need to do. You're within the canyon walls, with variations in rock formation and trees. We were able to see the moon above the rocks with a bright sky blue background. Beautiful!

Love the twisty, turny road with absolutely gorgeous scenery. The views are spectacular and yhere are very manageable short hikes to commune with nature. Always visit here several times whenever I am in the area.

Check it out! Parking area right off the road, nice tourist boards with history about the first settlement. Gorgeous views and prime picture taking spot! Trails that lead down into the ravine.

Oak Creek Canyon is a not to miss drive for anyone visiting Sedona. It's a twisty, steep road but well paved and not too difficult to drive. A great view can be had from near the bridge over Oak Creek IF one is lucky enough to secure one of very few parking spots. Another fine panorama is at Oak Creek... More

We drove through Oak Creek Canyon twice during our four day visit to Sedona and surroundings. It is the preferred way to go to Flagstaff from Sedona. The road is very scenic, with switch backs to get to the top of the Canyon. Loved it in November...must be an awesome place to visit during the summer months.

Try to stop as you descend into the canyon and have a picnic, otherwise the driver either won't see the views or will become part of them!

Some of the most gorgeous scenery in the area! The drive down into the canyon was an adventure...winding roads and more beautiful views at each turn. Not a lot of opportunity to pull over for pictures though.

Such a shocking difference from the typical red rock views of Sedona. This is such a quiet intimate place to commune with nature and be soothed by the sounds of the creek and cool rich air. Loved the smell of leaves in the fall and cool shade in summer. Favorite hike in Sedona for sure.

What a beautiful drive!! Sear walls of red rocks, beautiful green trees with the creek/river flowing next to the road. The road winds it's way up to Flagstaff; but you do not have to go all the way. There are a number of places to pull off and turn around. Also, places to fish for trout; or take a world... More

It was a pure joy to behold. I enjoyed the lush views, the peace, and was able to escape the crowds and just behold the beauty.
