Beautiful scenery at the overlook. Really get a chance to see nature, and wonder how on earth man got roads through the area. Trees for days. Very peaceful.

While the scenery is great, a prime reason for stopping is to pick up some fine, affordable native Navajo items.

The justly famous road from Sedona to Flagstaff along Oak Creek Canyon is capped by a simple but large overlook when the winding road reaches the plateau. In addition to the views that you take in along the rim, you can purchase some beautiful Native...More

Look out across a vast canyon and the switchbacks you just survived. ( or are going to attempt.) have a picnic and pick up some crafts to share with friends back home.

A great view south through oak creek but not as impressive as driving through it. At the end of the twisty incline going north you will reach this viewpoint. You can see the green valley but the view from the south is much more impressive.

We took a short drive up from Oak Creek Canyon (mind you, the roads were very winding on the way up there). The view was absolutely stunning. It's a different view from the red rocks downtown. You got to see a lot of greenery. There's...More

This is up in the pine forest and has good views of the canyon. It's not as exciting as the beautiful red rocks surrounding Sedona but it gives you a different view of the nature in this area. A bit of a winding road but...More

The view is very scenic and the presence of constant flowing water, Oak Creek, makes it different than most of the other "dry" canyons. Well worth the views and you need to be patient with the traffic on 89A as it can be very crowded...More
