It was freezing cold the day we were there. Felt bad for the women selling their wares. There was a few inches of snow on the ground, but you are up about 6500 ft. The drive up would have been more fun----winding road, twists &...More

Driving between Sedona and Flagstaff on 89a, here's a perfect place to pull off the road and stretch your legs. The view is gorgeous, and there are local native Navajos selling quality jewelry here. Enjoy the scenery, do some shopping, and take in the fresh...More

Beautiful scenery at the overlook. Really get a chance to see nature, and wonder how on earth man got roads through the area. Trees for days. Very peaceful.

While the scenery is great, a prime reason for stopping is to pick up some fine, affordable native Navajo items.

Look out across a vast canyon and the switchbacks you just survived. ( or are going to attempt.) have a picnic and pick up some crafts to share with friends back home.

A great view south through oak creek but not as impressive as driving through it. At the end of the twisty incline going north you will reach this viewpoint. You can see the green valley but the view from the south is much more impressive.

Try NOT to miss this viewpoint especially if you are traveling south on 89A from Flagstaff area on your way to Sedona. Why? I think you need to see this sight yourself in contrast with the "red rock" area that you are about to see...More
