This is a beautiful trail, very lush and green - just delightful. It is mostly flat so it does not require a high level of fitness but you are required to cross the stream multiple times so a hiking pole or walking stick is a...More

We were lucky enough to visit the week before memorial weekend which turned out to be a little quieter compared to other times. We took plenty of water and a packed lunch and we carried on walking past the creek at a leisurely pace. It...More

We loved this hike. Lots of shade, mostly flat, and plenty of water. We were able to cross pretty easily and the views were beautiful. Highly recommend this one.

We went there on a Friday morning. Parking lot was full with a line of cars backed up. Lots of people everywhere. We were told that there was more parking along the road farther up, so we finally got out of line and turned around....More

Get there early as lot is small and fills up quickly. Hike about 3 miles each way and generally flat, crossing over the stream (river) multiple times. Scenery spectacular and fun trail although sometimes difficult to figure out which way to go. Make sure to...More

The sign on the entrance stated three walks / hikes, we could find two of them. I disregard the creek walk which ends near the toilets because its about 150 yards long. The west fork trail is okay but be aware to cross the creek...More

We started on the West Fork trail, but soon found out that crossing the creek via wet stones and wobbly logs isn't for us. So we wanted to walk the easiest walk (wheelchair accessible according to the plan at the parking lot), but we couldn't...More

This hike is fairly flat but crosses several streams. You need either waterproof hiking shoes or tevas. Lots of it is in the forest, but there are also great views.

Great hike with beautiful scenery. Could be a little long for some people, but was worth the hike. There were 13 places which required crossing Oak Creek and you must cross on logs or rocks or wade through the cold water.

Rich red rocks lower down, interesting formations higher up, lots of trees and foliage, a beautiful hike. Better to get there early, the parking lot was full by the time I got back.

Hi. We will be there March 12th and want to hike the trail. What do you recommend we take for footwear with regards to water levels? Do people take walking sticks?

Take water, the streams you cross are ankle deep, i just let my sneakers get wet, it was no big deal. My cousin did wear water proof ticking boots. I wouldn't wear sandals although we saw teenagers with sandals on and they... More

It's an out-and-back trail and it crosses the creek several times so be sure to wear waterproof shoes or be ready for some wet feet! It took us 4 hours total which includes time to take pictures and stand at some spots... More
