Loved the hike to Bell Rock. You can climb as high as you want but also lots of open space along the path to stop and sit on the rocks while taking in the beautiful vistas below. It's one of the vortex areas. Not sure...More

I could just feel the energy from this place. I loved Sedona, and even made it close to the top of this structure. It looks structure place craved by god, just an amazing experience here.

The scenery is quite spectacular and the walking trail around the rock is worth doing and not that strenuous and definitely worth if the experience. Parking can be tight on weekends and holidays so get there early.

This was our first time to this area & it is truly amazing. So different from the topography in Indiana. Bell Rock is just along the highway & you see it off in the distance but come really close to it. Just take it all...More

Iconic Sedona landmark, so definitely worth the visit. It is busy place, so parking may be an issue, especially during the weekend. Also lot of bikers on the trail, so it makes hiking unconfortsble.

Bell Rock is right on State Route 179 o. Your way into Sedoa. Ma y developed hiking trails in the area. Stop at the Forest Service center on SR 179 for maps.

I've lived in Sedona since June 23, 2001 and, no matter how far away I go--whether Cottonwood, Phoenix, or abroad--every time I drive up Hwy 179 and see "my red rocks," with Bell Rock right in the center, I thank G-d for every single nanosecond...More

You will be fine with regular sport shoes (need a bit of traction). If you are doing serious climbing, higher levels, then it is a different story. On Bell Rock YOU select whether you want gentle walks or hikes or more... More

Bell Rock is a bit outside of Sedona proper, so you may want to stay in the town and drive the few minutes to Bell Rock. There is so much red rock scenery everywhere that you shouldn't limit yourself to a Bell Rock view, I... More

Go quite early in the morning for hiking to avoid the heat and then star gazing is after sundown . . . Say, 10 p.m.
