Little Horse Trail is a location you can bring your horse to trail ride up to the red rocks. We stopped and walked part of the trail and were afforded stunning views and photo opportunities. You will need to purchase the $5 red rock pass that allows you access to the various scenic overlooks on thevRed Rick Scenic Drive.

We did this today, the trail was very easy not dangerous at all ! Took us about like 1hr to get to the top maybe less, we did walk a lot and we stayed at the top for a long time, the little horse trail turns into broken arrow at the top past the scenic view and then broken trail... More

We did a very nice loop on this trail, or at least parts of it. We combined all the trails around to make this something that would give us views, climbing opps and miles. We got there at 9AM so parking no matter, tho 1/2 hour later it would have been. We enjoyed the trail, the views and the quiet.

First of all, I would like to say that there really is not enough parking provided for the hikers, walkers or mountain bikers. They have several access sites to the various hikes in the area, but the parking lots are less than required. For such popular areas, and beautiful I might add, they should expand the parking. This trail is... More

Little Horse follows the base of a mesa for a few miles out to Chicken Rock. The trail is well-maintained and moderate in difficulty. There are quite a few bikes on the trail, but all the bikers were very courteous the day we hiked it. At Chicken Rock, the Pink Jeeps come in from a 4WD road - and the... More

The reds of the red rock on this trail are so rich and plentiful. There's also a plethora of greenery. Very nice mix. 4 miles total and fairly flat. I was there at sunset and it was drop dead gorgeous.

Get up early or you will spend a bunch of time looking for a place to park. this trail is right off the main road, and offers spectacular views of the red Sedona rock. You will feel like you are in wilderness, burt you actually are only a short distance from town. A great place to walk hike and enjoy... More

I was travelling with a friend with a brace on her knee and the ranger recommended Little Horse for our introductory hike. Couldn't have been a better choice. It was the right length and difficulty and led to the great view at Chicken Point. It was perfect! More interesting than others along the main highway.

We hiked this with our daughters (10 and 12 year olds) in mid-January. The weather was perfect and I was happy I had selected this trail as it was just challenging and long enough for our girls and brought us to beautiful vistas of the red rocks, including the Chapel in the hill. We ended up where the Pink Jeep... More
